Frequently Asked Questions
Our AI generates comprehensive metadata including: descriptive alt text for accessibility, SEO-optimized keywords and tags, suggested captions, and SEO-friendly filenames. The metadata is written directly into the image file (EXIF/IPTC) and also provided as a downloadable JSON file for easy integration with your CMS.
Search engines cannot 'see' images - they rely on metadata to understand image content. Proper alt text, descriptive filenames, and relevant keywords help search engines index your images correctly, improving visibility in image search results and overall page SEO. Our AI generates metadata that follows SEO best practices.
Our vision AI correctly identifies objects, scenes, and context in the vast majority of images. It recognizes thousands of object categories, activities, settings, and visual attributes. For specialized or ambiguous content, you can edit the generated metadata before downloading. The AI continuously improves through updated models.
Currently, AI-generated metadata is produced in English. The descriptions are clear and professional, suitable for international audiences. Support for additional languages is planned for future updates. You can always edit the generated text to translate or localize as needed.
JPEG files support full EXIF and IPTC metadata embedding. PNG files support text metadata chunks. WebP has limited metadata support. GIF files receive metadata in a JSON sidecar file. For all formats, we provide a JSON sidecar file with the complete metadata for use with any CMS or asset management system. HEIC files are converted to JPEG during upload. TIFF and BMP are also accepted and auto-converted to JPEG.
Alt text is essential for screen reader users and is a WCAG accessibility requirement. Our AI generates descriptive, meaningful alt text that conveys the content and purpose of each image. This helps visually impaired users understand your images and ensures your website meets accessibility standards.
Yes! After processing, you can review and edit all generated metadata before downloading. This lets you fine-tune descriptions, add brand-specific keywords, or adjust the tone. Your edits are preserved in the final downloaded files and JSON export.
